Ms. Kays, Ms. Wennell, Ms. Felter and Mr. LaMotte attended The MAEOE conference. MAEOE (Maryland Association for Environmental & Outdoor Education) is a conference for teachers to brainstorm ideas of how to implement environmental education into different curriculum areas. The adjacent ppt. was presented to students and staff and highlights the trip.

The teachers at Manchester Valley were educated about the benefits of being a Green School at a staff meeting at the beginning of the year.  All staff viewed the adjacent ppt. and were encouraged to use the environment as a context for learning whenever possible.
